BP Oil Spill

Well this oil spill in the gulf seems to be becoming a crisis. As a result of this leak hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil have been spilled into the ocean. This is causing lots and lots of problems, not only monetarily but in the ocean's eco systems.
So, I now have a large and very important question for BP... HOW IN THE HECK ARE YOU GOING TO GET ALL THIS OIL CLEANED UP?. i am going to try to find an answer to this question.

President Obama has said that the government of the united states will be attempting to clean up this oil spill. However, he also said that BP will be footing this bill.

Gaga-ify yourself!!

okay, so a new artist that has been sweeping the nation is lady gaga. chances are that you have seen an outfit of hers at one of her many awards appearances or in one of her videos. sometimes the get-ups make you wonder, how did she get into that dress? or other questions like how many leotards does this chick own? in any case, gaga is original and inspiring to many people. plus aside from the giant spark shooting bras, her look is easy to emulate.
in previous blogs a have attempted to clearly inform people about how copying is bad, super super bad as a matter of fact, but inspiring is really good. this is what Miss Gaga does so well. though some things she wears just aren't practical for everyday life, similar things can be used.
step 1- finding a color that works for you. some bright popping colors that are referred to as "universal colors" are turquoise and coral. other colors may work too but those are a start.Lady Gaga Pictures, Images and Photos
step 2-finding a cut that is edgy, flattering and doesn't make you look like a prostitute or mad woman. often some of gaga outfits dont involve pants and sometimes are even just consisting of little shreds of lace, this wont work in the real world if you arent famous. gaga Pictures, Images and Photos

The Next Big Thing

as it is, i have a fashion blog im going to try to find "the next big thing" in fashion. in the fashion world trends are in out and then gone within a matter of weeks. the whole industry is based on what a certain designer picks out as the next big thing.
many magazines and companies try to make up the next big thing and hope that some gullible people will carry it out for them. trends are formed from the peoples ideas on what looks good, though many trends dont look good on all people. also trends are formed based on what celebrities are wearing out in public.
as for my assignment, i need to choose what i think is going to be the next big thing in the fashion industry. in my opinion i think that lace, in all colors and styles will be "in". whether its just some accents on shirts or leggings to full blouses lace is the latest trend.

however, like all trends it can either be done tastefully or well... otherwise
simple yet pretty ways to incoreperate lace is with accents or small details.
an easy way to icorporate lots of lace is with leggings or tights as pictured here.

new prompts...

5. If you could plan out your life from now until you die, what would it look like? Your college, career, family, home, etc.

if i could plan out my entire life from this point on, that would be amazing! directly out of high school i would immediately travel abroad to Paris, France. rent an apartment for about a month while i work to get cash. i would then backpack all around the city to get some street experience and live a little. i would stay there for about three months over the summer.
when i return home, it would be about my birthday and time to report back for volleyball training. for my collage education, i would like to attend the university of Dayton and play volleyball while I'm there. my program would be for teaching of the sciences. i would rush to a sorority and hopefully get in. if i didn't, i would rent out an apartment of attempt to rent a house with some of my friends.
after my four years and graduation from school, that would be about the time that i would like to be getting married, preferably to marshal (little premature not but who knows). he should be getting out of his term in the marines and be coming home permanently. after i get married, i would like to purchase our own house somewhere in the greater Dayton area. i large five bedroom three and a half bath white one to be exact. oh yeah, i forgot to mention that the house i have MUST have four pillars on the front of it.
throughout this time i would like to be working in the teaching field at national trail high school teaching physics. that would be ideal but if i cant find a teaching job, i always have my family clothing business. my grandmother left a portion of the business to me so i would have some control on what goes on there.
at about a year or so later i would like to go back to the university of Dayton for my masters degree in teaching.
while i am earning my masters i would like to start having children. my first child, hopefully, will be a little baby girl. i would name her Lilly Lenae Keefer. two or three years later i would want to have another baby, a boy. his name would be Liem lee Keefer. we would be a little all American family. dad is a cop, mom is a teacher and two perfect little kids one girl, one boy :)

new prompts :)

1. If you were forced to get at least one tattoo by law, what would it be and what would the personal value/meaning of it be?

alright, so if i were forced to get a tattoo i would get two small ear tattoos. one behind each ear at the top so they could be easily hidden but still noticeable. the first would be a heart with my husbands initials inside of it. this would signify to me that they always would literally have a place in my heart and that i would always carry them with me. being married to the person is a great commitment and should be permanent, just like a tattoo.
also i would get an owl behind my left ear. i would get this tattoo as just a reminder that it is always important to think with your head about what you're about to do before acting. sometimes good judgment is not always up front in what you're doing, but it should be. people, myself included also tend to think with their heart or their first impulse without weighing the factors out first.

Inspire, not copy

it is an old saying that immitation is the highest form of flattery, though today it is taken as copy cat-ing. many people often feel threatened when people copy them. as i was looking at this new website lookbook.nu i saw many examples of clothing in which i liked in parts. thats where my point of inspiring comes from. when you go through and buy the same things as other people, you get more and more generic. people fstop coming across as individuals and more as robots.
