The Death of A Black Tie Affair

it seems more and more the youth of today is slacking on the dressing up, and turning every day into a casual friday. the children are being taught to dress down to go out. throw on some sweats with a shirt and head to the black tie affair. throughout history the clothes a person wore was almost a symbol of their status and intelligence. it used to be, up until about thirty years ago, that a person wouldnt think about going out of the house without being properly presentable. ladies wore gloves almost everywhere they went, and gentlemen almost always had on a hat.
as our lives get busier and busier, that may contribute to the american citezen looking this way. we look for comfort, not style.
